UIC Medical Campus Facade Inspections

Bauer Latoza Studio was commissioned to perform the critical examinations of selected properties on the Medical Campus of the University of Illinois at Chicago. This work is required by the City of Chicago’s Exterior Wall Maintenance Ordinance but it also provides a valuable planning tool for the building owner. The critical examinations consist of a hands-on inspection of 100% of the terra cotta-clad facades and 50% of the non-terra cotta facades. Exams are conducted using swing stage drops and include various inspection openings.
