Historic Preservation

Historic Preservation MSI Historic Preservation includes buildings which are listed on the National Register of Historic Places, are designated as a local landmark, or hold special significance to their owners.

Similar to our breadth of experience in the design of new architecture, our work in historic preservation extends to municipal buildings, university facilities, museums, churches, commercial and residential buildings, and sculptural monuments.

Historic preservation projects can incorporate aspects of preservation, restoration, rehabilitation and adaptive reuse.  Our team is thoroughly familiar with preservation standards, philosophies and techniques, as well as the governmental processes for approvals and permitting.

We apply our expertise historic preservation to a broad range of initiatives, including urban planning efforts, building assessments, sustainable architecture, historically sensitive design, and the traditional preservation of buildings and sculpture.
