Humboldt Park Boat House

Chicago, Illinois

Client: Chicago Park District

Cost: $3,600,000

The Humboldt Park Boathouse Pavilion, constructed in 1907, is one of the treasured buildings within the Chicago Park District portfolio of park structures. For our restoration work, BauerLatoza Studio was awarded the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Preservation Award –Preservation Project of the Year. The pavilion, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and a designated Chicago Landmark, sat vacant for the past two decades. The Chicago Park District embarked on a two-phased project to rehabilitate the facility.
